Welcome to CameoRoze's Stitcher's Studio. I've been a citizen of the Web since 1994 where I'm known as CameoRoze, or Cameo for short. In the flesh, I am Margaret Davaz.

The purpose of my website is to share information and resources for counted thread embroidery, with an emphasis on counted cross-stitch. I'm not a designer or a retailer, so I don't sell a thing here. I'm simply a very enthusiastic needleworker with a passion for her subject. I'm a librarian at heart, and like to find ways of taking the information I've gathered and organizing it for easy retrieval. The Stitcher's Studio is a place to come and learn, and then lead you to other websites where you can learn even more!

I also get to show my stitching progress with images of my own finished pieces in Cameo's Corner. And in the Bookshelf you'll see an array of needlework books that I recommend, and make it easy for you to buy them from Amazon.com.

Over the years, I've been introduced to many counted thread ideas, techniques, designers, shop owners and press releases from the needlecraft industry. I've found joy in writing articles about techniques I've learned, and in organizing the tips and techniques into a useful format. You'll find that information in the Needlework 101 section. I have no official affiliation with the needlework industry, so opinions expressed on this site are my own.
