Brownies




2 eggs
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup butter, melted and cooled
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup flour
3 T. cocoa
1 cup walnuts

Makes nine 3-inch brownies.


  1. Preheat oven to 350°
  2. Beat eggs until very thick and lemon-colored.
  3. Add butter and vanilla.
  4. Mix sifted flour, sugar and cocoa. Add to liquid, stirring just until blended.
  5. Add nuts.
  6. Pour into 9" x 9" x 2" pan.
  7. Bake for about 30 minutes. Cool on racks. Cut into 3" squares.
