Ashlee was a part of our family from July 13, 2002
until September 12, 2006. When he came to us, he
was about the size and color of a rat.
He was a very fun kitty. He loved to run and play. He loved to chase us up the stairs. He teased us by flicking his tail to get our attention. He could even fly! Ashlee could zip across the living room, jump from the seat of the couch to the back of the couch, then soared to the dining room table. When he was hungry, he'd be sure to come find us and yowl until we fed him. When he was happy, he had a quiet, raspy purr that made him sound like an asthmatic kitty. Ashlee and Jodie were the best of friends. When she needed comfort, Ashlee would snuggle with her - until he could get away! He slept on the end of Jodie's bed each night. He'd swipe at the plastic liner of the trash can every morning to wake Jodie up. Little Ashlee only got to be a teenager before he passed away. We think he ate a bug that didn't agree with him, and it made him very sick ... his liver failed. This shadow memory box was made by Julie and Margaret for Jodie as a way to help ease her pain. We will love Ashlee always, and miss him forever.
