I decided to pull out my crochet hooks and make myself a nice warm winter hat. This one is pure black. It is all done in single crochet, so the stitches are close and it keeps the heat in well. I like the cute rolled brim. (That's my daughter Jeanne modeling my hat). I found the pattern for this hat in my needlework library:
