Trim the stitchery so that it fits behind the WINDOW and does not hang out over the top or sides of the bookmark. Put the stitchery in place, centering it in the WINDOW.
If you like, you can hold the stitchery in place with a bit of glue from a glue stick. Spread the glue lightly on the back side of the suede around the window and press the stitchery into the glue. Stitch the front of the bookmark to the stitchery using a short stitch on a sewing machine. A zipper foot allows you to stitch close to the edge of the WINDOW. Use either a thread that matches the bookmark fabric or a contrasting color, depending on the look you want. |
