Finally, put the front and back together, cardboard pieces touching.
I used a ladder stitch and some coordinating thread to attached the front to the back. I like this stitch because it completely disappears as you sew the edges together. Very elegant! Then I used a whip stitch to attach the cording to the edge of the ornament. I sort of hid the whip stitch in the twist of the cording. For a tidy look, I simply tucked the ends of the cording in between the two pieces of cardboard at the top of the ornament on either side of the hanging loop.
