I decided to make the cording for the hoop from four strands of the perle coton. But I made the cording for the edge of the ornament thicker with six strands of perle coton.

You may wish to purchase cording at a fabric shop. Or you can use ribbon or other embellishments for the hanger and trim. It's up to you.
