| I started by placing my finished stitchery on my light table and covering it with a piece of paper.
With the light behind the stitchery, it was easy to trace the shape of the completed design.
I also marked a center vertical line.
With a ruler, I measured the fabric around my stitched design to see what was available for a border. Since I'd used scrap fabric, I only had about 3/4 inch. So I decided on a 1/2 inch border. The other 1/4 inch would roll to the back of the cardboard for lacing.
