At this point, some stitchers like to line their stitchery with a light weight cotton. This keeps the batting from coming through a loose weave fabric to the outside of the finished piece.

The lining fabric is cut so that it doesn't show on the ruffled ends. A beige lining fabric can be used with the darker linens.
