Foam Core Base Ornament

Foam Core Base Ornament
I first learned about this method of using foam core as the base for an ornament from Theresa Vanette's website. I read her instructions, then applied them to my own version of this ornament.

The overall construction is not very different from the basic padded ornament. Instead of lacing the fabric to cardboard, you pin the fabric to the foam core. The finished ornament is thicker than the basic padded ornament.

For this tutorial, I covered the side of the ornament with a satin ribbon rather than cording, and made a different type of hanging loop. I also added more ribbon embellishments.
