I found a piece of yellow and green ribbon that was embroidered with blue polka dots. I ruffled it by running a gathering stitch lengthwise down the ribbon, and then pulling gently on the bobbin thread to make small gathers. I held this ribbon in place on the face of the ornament with some more decorative pins.

I did have to use some wire cutters to cut the pins in half before using them. Otherwise, they would have poked out the back of the ornament!

Use your imagination to add more embellishments to your ornament.
