Cover the the sides of your ornament with a piece of 3/8" wide coordinating ribbon. Attach it with double-sided tape, hot glue, fabric glue, tacky glue, pins with decorative heads or by sewing it in place.
I chose a combination of methods. I pinned the first end of the ribbon at about "2 o'clock." Then I used some thick tacky glue to adhere the ribbon to the side of the ornament. I needed very little thick tacky glue. It stays where you put it, doesn't run, and dries clear. Take care to keep the glue from the front side of satin ribbon because it can leave a mark. |
