I finished another small project while watching A&E's "Law & Order Memorial Day Marathon — duh-DUM. This is a beaded Christmas ornament for my oldest daughter, Jeanne who plays the trumpet.

The ornament came as a kit from Mill Hill. It's called Holiday Onaments II: Counted Glass Bead Kit. It seems like I bought it at my local needlework shop last year.

Instructions come with the kit to finish it either as an ornament or a pin. I backed it with a scrap of brown aida on which I stitched my name and date. I fused the perforated paper to the aida backing.

Gosh, maybe I'll actually have all 5 ornaments stitched before Christmas Eve this year. That would be a plus!
