This is the second gift I made for my friend. This has got to be the chart I've had the most fun stitching! Not only is the design a kick, but I used several techniques and materials that made it fun.
Drive the Cats Crazy was a free chart by Ruth Sparrow of Twisted Threads. This is one of her Emerson adaptations. I used some Alpaca wool to stitch the mouse. She came out very fuzzy.
Then I used some DMC rayon for the bra. That made it very shiney and silky. Just like any female mouse would want!
Finally, the chart called for some rollar skate charms for the mouse to wear. But I couldn't find any. So instead, I used some ordinary cotton floss and a #9 hook to crochet the mouse some slippers! I just appliqued them onto the end of her little hairy legs.
She is a funny little gal! Very tactile! I finished it by framing it in an oval embroidery hoop.
