Listen Honey ... | ||||||||||||||

This chart only has two colors of floss. And like Assisi work, the design comes out of where the stitching isn't! I have to admit, stitching that much solid mauve was rather boring. But when I got to Honey's hair — well, that was another story! Though I stitched this piece in 1998, I didn't do the finishing work until September 2002. Previously, she had been taped up on the wall of my Studio right near my computer with some blue painter's tape! She used to be a lot like me sitting at my computer desk ... the work is not quite done, but she spends a whole lot of time sitting here, with a cup in her hand, trying to figure out what to do next. And she calls it exercise! ::: grin ::: But I've been doing "real" aerobics as well as finishing work this year, and it was time to get this gal in a proper frame. I used some black fabric as a mat, and framed her in a gold-tone frame. She now hangs in my gallery, in the hallway that leads to my studio.
