Silk Embroidered Pin

Silk Ribbon Embroidered Pin

This is my first stab at silk ribbon embroidery. I made two pieces:

1. a card, which was completely done in SRE
2. this pin, which is done with SRE and beading on perforated paper

I sent these to my Secret Sisters.

If you'd like to learn more about silk ribbon embroidery, read my page in Needlework 101 called Silk Ribbon Embroidery.
I also have a page in Needlework 101 called Beading Tips.

Unfortunately, I did not remember to photograph the card before I sent it. I do remember, though, that I stitched it on the backside of the fabric instead of the front because the blue lines that showed me placement for the stitches kept peeking out from behind the stitched ribbon.

Also unfortunately, I did not keep any of the documentation for these pieces! I do know they were kits. There is a good chance this pin is a Mill Hill kit, but I am not certain.
