This chart is one of Just Nan's famous freebies. I received it, along with the fabric to stitch it on, from Nordic Needle with a fulfilled order.

This is the first Just Nan piece that I attempted. It's also the first time I attempted a "specialty stitch," in this case, a Square Eyelet. There are four of these, stitched in gold, on the edge of the center motif.

Instead of the Kreinik #4 gold braid which this chart calls for, I substituted a stranded gold metallic that a shop owner had sent me to try. I only used a single strand—it's used as garland on the trees. Unfortunately, it does not stand out very well. Perhaps a second strand should have been utilized for better coverage. Live and learn!
