Star Flower Bookmarks

Wanting to stitch up something quickly, I raided my stash for a bookmark pattern. I like these speedy projects that can be done in just a few hours when I need a "finishing" fix.

I found this freebie chart by Bent Creek in with some other floral patterns. I decided to use just this one element and turn it into a bookmark.

The pattern is charted for Gentle Arts Sampler Threads. I had most in my stash, but not all. So I made some substitutions on the blue/purple bookmark.

That one went together so quickly that I decided to stitch another one using a different color pallet. This time, I pulled floss in warm hues from my DMC stash.

Both were stitched on little fabric scraps, then edged with a Nun's Stitch and fringed.

Easy Squeasy!
