Here's the 4th bookmark I stitched this week. The design is one of Pam Kellogg's which she uses as seam treatments in her crazy quilting. Every now and then, Pam puts a chart on her blog for her devoted readers. That's where I picked this one up.

I picked two shades of blue and two shades of purple for this spray. Since it's a repeating pattern, I simply added two more repeats to the charted pattern to make the spray long enough for my scrap of aida banding. This bookmark measures about 2" x 5".

Part of the fun of stitching bookmarks is that there are so many charts that can be adapted to fit a long narrow piece of fabric. I get to use up fabric scraps. I get to choose my own colors. And they go from start to finish in a flash.

All 4 of these bookmarks will likely be donated to a literacy program.
