The 11th bookmark is now complete! Only one more to go to reach my goal for these bookmarks for literacy programs.

The inspiration for this bookmark came from a book of simple borders. I made my hearts a bit bigger than the ones in the book, then added the zig-zag detail to help 'fill out' the sides. These hearts now look all energtic. Dare I say, they look like they're beating?

OK. So I get carried away a little. This was fun to stitch, though. I liked picking the colors on this one.

The fabric is an 18 ct aida banding for with a pretty pink scalloped edge. It measures about 2" x 6.5".
