A friend of mine has been going through some really tough times over the last few years. Troubles with serious illness, broken relationships, lost jobs and the death of pets has really taken a toll.
Though I know it's not much as a way of consolation, I stitched up this kitten, finished it as an easel and sent it to my friend.
I can't help with much in a material way, but I can be a listening ear and a cheerleader as this friend claws his way back to the surface for air. |
Here's what the easel looks like from the side.
Instead of cording, I finished the edges off with a gold-tipped satin ribbon. Pretty, but understated.
