Here's the 9th bookmark I stitched that will be donated through the charity group to a literacy program.

This was an incredibly fast stitch because it involved just two specialty stitches. Then I made a border of cross-stitch that fulfilled the double purpose of sewing down the sides of the bookmark and giving the design a finishing touch. Cute!

Pam Kellogg offered this chart to her blog readers last year. I altered it a bit by foregoing the lazy daisy stitch and instead adding more fan stitches. Pam uses this as a seam treatment in her crazy quilting.

I used up a scrap of 14 ct aida for this bookmark. This bookmark measures about 1.25" x 5.5".
