Rose Lady

This is the first of the PILLs I've completed this year. This project has been in the long line only about nine months, but that's long enough to give birth!

I bought this kit because it was on sale (naturally) and it had a finishing technique that I'd never tried before. The little satin frame came with the chart, the padded center to attach the stitching to, and the cording to go around the edge of the stitching. It's called the Just Nan Easy Easel.

I really like the design. I did change it slightly by adding a 4th Triple Leviathan and leaving off the ladybug charm. But I wasn't all that thrilled with the finishing technique. The padded center, covered in the stitching, just didn't want to tuck into the frame as the directions indicated it should. I finally ended up just hot gluing the center in place, and hot gluing the cording around the edge.

The finished result is pretty, though. I'll be keeping this piece for myself.
