More Preemie Hats |

That means I was able to make one per month this year. That feels great! The hats are donated to neo-natal wards in various hospitals around the country. This crochet pattern is one I've used before. It was shared by one of the gals in the group. Using a baby or sport weight yarn, you start by stitching the band in a single crochet rib stitch. The section where the ribbon is placed is double crochet and chain one. The crown portion is single crochet, decreasing every two rows. You finish it off by sewing the back seam, and adding a satin ribbon. These little hats are fun and they stitch up amazingly quickly — in less than two hours (and that's while watching TV at the same time!) I enjoyed trying various colors of ribbon to finish them off.
