Love One Another

The charity stitching group I belong to has decided to make a quilt with an Americana theme. This time, our group's leader picked out specific patterns that would go on the quilt.

We got to choose which pattern we'd like to stitch from the selected group. All the patterns were found online at PatternsOnline.com — which was a really convenient way to purchase them. I chose this sweet little boy who was making friends with a bunny. It's a chart by Alma Lynne.

I really love being a part of CrossStitching for Charity. The patterns for most of the quilt squares don't take long to stitch, and there is a huge variety of themes to choose from. It gives me a chance to stitch patterns that I might not have a place for in my own life, but that someone else can enjoy.

One drawback is that most of the quilt squares are stitched on 14ct white aida. I usually like to have more variety in the ground fabric I stitch on. But it's a small price to pay for having such a large variety of designs to stitch.
