This happy flower design was stitched for my Cross Stitching for Charity (CSFC) group and will be part of a quilt with the theme of "Flowers."

In a couple months, I plan on stitching a similar piece by the same designer. It's called Kathy.

The silver metallic caused a bit of trouble. I haven't stitched with metallics in a while, and forgot to keep a short strand. I was fighting a bit of twisting and knotting until I started using a shorter fiber length.

This was an enjoyable piece to stitch, though. I really like the lavender half cross stitches in the background. They allow the flower to really "pop."
