Snowflake Ornament

Snowflake Ornament by Cross Stitch
I needed to take a break from the intense stitching in Sewing Memories, so stitched up this ornament one evening. I liked the simple shape of the snowflake. So delicate.

I decided to stitch it with #8 white perle coton so that I didn't even have to trouble myself with stripping threads!

I did the finishing work on it in an evening, stitching the aida to a green fabric pillow (leftover fabric from Rudy), adding a hanging cord (using leftover cording from Sewing Memories) and making a tassel from a card of JP Coats floss that didn't match the rest of my floss set. Love those leftovers!

I think I'll be donating this ornament to a charity later this year.
