Santa-Corn

Santa-Corn by The Cricket Collection
I found this cute little ornament chart as a web freebie on the Silver Needle website. It's always fun to see what these black & white charts look like all stitched up when you haven't seen a model. Surprise!

I decided to stitch this on perforated paper since there were no partial stitches. I sewed the stitching on to some felt for a backing. Then I decided to finish it as a pin instead of as an ornament. The actual finished size is about 1-3/4" by 2" so it's not too big for a lapel.

I think the jingle bell hat tassel is the perfect finishing touch!

Does this make you want to go out, find a basket full of acorns, and start painting faces on them?
