LoriBeth's Christmas Ornament

LoriBeth's Christmas Ornament
My CyberStitchers president, LoriBeth, designed this ornament for our EGA chapter's December 2003 newsletter.

At the January meeting, members got into a discussion about the possibility of starting some stitch-along groups. One of the proposed ideas was a stitch-along for Christmas ornaments. It was then proposed that we donate some of the ornaments to a worthy cause as part of an outreach program for our chapter.

I jumped right on that bandwagon! I enjoy stitching ornaments because they are quick to stitch and satisfying to complete. Just the thought of it made my fingers itch. So I took this morning to dig into my stash, pick out some fabric and fibers, listen to a book-on-tape, and stitch away. I had this little ornament completed in just a few relaxing hours.
LoriBeth didn't include a fiber legend with her chart, so I chose my own colors:
Symbol Color Symbol Fiber
Dark Green triangle DMC 501
Light Green diamond DMC 502
Bow circle DMC 3726
Berries circle DMC 5288 metallic
Green backstitching DMC 500
Red backstitching DMC 315

On the back of my ornament I stitched:
