Imagine Bookmark

Imagine Bookmark by The Cameo Collection
My EGA chapter, CyberStitchers, has an Outreach project where chapter members stitch bookmarks and donate them to a literacy program. This year, members were challenged to not only stitch a bookmark, but also to design a bookmark for other chapter members to stitch.

I decided to take up this challenge. My Imagine Bookmark is the result.

The idea for this bookmark is based on an ornament I stitched in 2000, the Noel Ornament. I like the simple, clean lines of the ornament and thought I might be able to create something similar for a bookmark.

I chose the word "Imagine" because that is what reading allows me to do. For example, I can imagine being a character in a novel. Or I can imagine stitching a needlework technique new to me.

The model I stitched for this bookmark chart is not exactly typical assisi work because I used more than one fiber as outlined below:

Fiber
Placement
   DMC 208    Around the letters
   DMC 102    Variegated border
   DMC 5289    Metallic dots in letters

Like the other two bookmarks I made recently, I stitched a row of Nun's Stitch just outside the edge of the design, then fringed the edges of the Ribband.

I'm offering this design as a complementary chart. Follow this link for a printable copy of Imagine Bookmark.

The Cameo Collection charts presented on my website are free.
But if you like what you see, I'd appreciate a small donation
of $.50 as a Thank You from you!

Unfortunately, I am unable to accept credit card payments through PayPal;
please fund your payments with your PayPal balance or with a bank account.

If you'd like to learn how to make the Nun's Stitch, read the page in Needlework 101 called Nun's Stitch.
