I stitched this card up in an evening for my mother-in-law to accompany her Mother's Day gift. This simple design by Ellen Maurer-Stroh was a freebie on her website. It's presented there as a basic stitching lesson for children in her "Designs for Beginners" section.
I used most of the colors of floss that Ellen called for, substituting DMC 726 for 744. I also decided to stitch it on a pink aida rather than a white of ivory background. I mounted it in a pre-cut card for needlework that I bought some time ago from an online retailer.
