"The Year of the Small Project" continues with this cute little bookmark. This one was fun to stitch. I love the color scheme! (This image is slightly darker than it is in real life).

The chart uses:
DMC 501
DMC 502
DMC 676
DMC 738
DMC 760
DMC 930
DMC 932
DMC 3041
DMC 3042
DMC 3328

I found this pattern while browsing through some old magazines. I found this pattern in the September/October 1991 edition of Cross Stitch & Country Crafts. I don't stitch many samplers, but this little guy caught my eye.

One of the things I like about stitching bookmarks is that it allows me to use up all kinds of bits and ends of fabric. It's easily done when the edges are finished with the Nun's Stitch.

If you'd like to learn how to make the Nun's Stitch, read the page in Needlework 101 called Nun's Stitch.
