This is the last in a series of ornaments I picked up while on vacation in Alaska in 2001. I stitched it on a scrap of Fiddler's Cloth from my stash, and finished it as a stuffed "pillow" ornament. The back of the ornament is also made of Fiddler's Cloth on which I stitched "Arctic Rose" and my name. I sewed the pillow together by hand with the same dark gree floss that was used in the leaves and for the backstitching. I sewed the ribbon hanger in at the same time. Then I fringed the edges.
It was awfully nice hanging this series of ornaments on my tree last Christmas. What a great way to remember a wonderful vacation! If you missed the rest of the series of Christmas ornaments by Calico Cache that I stitched, these links will take you there:
