Totem Pole Christmas Ornament

Totem Pole Christmas Ornament by Calico Cache
This is the sixth in a series of ornaments I picked up while on vacation in Alaska in 2001. It depicts a totem pole. The bottom of the pole is a beaver. The center is a whale. The top of the pole has an eagle.

The color image on the front of the pattern does not match the colors called for on the actual chart. I followed the chart colors, substituting a deeper red for the 666. I then added black backstitching between every color change on the ornament. This give the totem a clean-cut "coloring book" appearance.

The same of 25ct white Lugana on this as I did on the previous ornament.

Stitched June 19 - July 1, 2002.
