I stitched another bookmark for one of the ladies in my quilt group. Irene likes bright colors, so I made this bookmark that reminds me of jewels all lined up in a row. The inspiration for this design came from a border in the book 2001 Cross Stitch Designs: The Essential Reference Book (see below).
The border I adapted doesn't have a name, it's one of the "Geometric Borders" found on page 141. I changed it a bit to add more colors, and to widen the design so that it would take up more horizontal space on the bookmark.
