I was frustrated with working on my current EGA project (a canvas design that I decided to stitch on linen instead, and the fabric is very poor quality and maddening to stitch on). Feeling out of sorts for being away from my little Xs for so long, I took out a quick Christmas ornament kit to stitched up. This was an extra (bonus free to me) that was thrown in with some charts I purchased recently on eBay.
It's not a lot to hoot and holler about, but there is a certain satisfaction to completing a project -- start to finish -- in one sitting. The ornament is called "Canadian Goose" and came as a kit. Surprisingly, the aida in the kit was a very nice quality and there was plenty of floss in the kit -- likely enough floss to stitch it twice. I added a small bit of batting over the sticky-board backing to give the finished ornament a little depth.
