Tassel with Whipped Spider Stitch Head

Tassel with whipped spider stitch head
Please let me apologize for the ugly colors of this tassel! It's really not as bad as this in real life!

If I were to make this kind of tassel again, I think I'd make a smaller, rounder head. This one is fairly egg-shaped. My head is not divided exactly evenly, but it is close. It was the first time I'd done the whipped spider stitch, and it was fun.

As I was working this stitch, it came to mind that I'd like to try some Temari techniques on a tassel head since Temari are divided into sections the in a similar way this tassel head is divided.

This is a six inch tassel made from an ugly green yarn. The whipped spider stitch is made with DMC #5 perele coton, #906 green.
