Little Snowfriend

Little Snowfriend by Ursula Michael
This cute little guy came as a free chart in a mailing for an offer to buy Stitcher's World magazine. I already have a subscription to that publication, so I just tore out the chart and tucked it away.

He stitched up very quickly — start to finish in two days. The pattern shows this little guy adorning a fingertip towel. The chart has "Greetings" charted under the snowman. I think it would also be cute stitched as a card insert. But I decided to stitch him on 14ct. perforated plastic, and then cut him out, backed him with felt, and used him as a Christmas tree ornament.

This was a fun project to stitch. He has just enough shading to make him interesting, but only uses twelve colors of floss, so you're not constantly having to switch the floss in your needle. I just might stitch him up again. Besides, how can anyone resist that smile?
