Valentine Heart

Valentine Heart

One of the fun things we did in EGA in 1999 was to have a Secret Sister swap. The person who had picked my name had given me some wonderful gifts all year. But by the time the year was up (in February), I had guessed who my secret sister was ... a friend of mine, Patti.

As a thank you to her, I stitched this pillow. It's actually the first time I'd finished an item as a pillow. I used some wonderful, soft dark brown ultrasuede to "frame" the stitchery, then added some mauve piping around the edge. I was quite pleased with how the pillow came out. And I was also pleased to have guessed the correct identity of my Secret Sister.

I apologize for this truly awful photo posted to the right! It's the only image I have of the completed project. It is an out-of-focus photo taken with a Poleroid camera.

I found this Valentine Heart chart as a free chart on the Internet, offered by Candamar designs.
