I'd taken a Hardanger workshop with Janice Love last September. I found Hardanger a bit of a challenge. Even with Janice's instructions, learning some things left-handed can be tough. So I didn't "take" to Hardanger right away.

But I'd been given a gift of a Monogrammed Hardanger Sachet -- a DMC kit. Their instructions were not the best. I think their "D" chart is wrong, so I changed it! It was missing two Kloster blocks on the bottom-right side of the letter. To be able to do the cutting, I needed an inside set and an outside set of Kloster blocks. But the chart only had an outside set of blocks at the bottom "curve" of the *D*. So I just continued the inside set of blocks.

I put a wonderful-smelling bar of Honeysuckle glycerin soap inside.

The kit comes with a free "starter kit" inside to help teach you some of the fundamentals of Hardander including kloster blocks, wrapped bars, picots and dove's eye as well as how to cut. This small image to the right is the completed starter kit.
