One of our local EGA chapter's annual gatherings is called "July Days" where members of our chapter get together for a day of stitching, eating and fun. We also have door prizes — lots of door prizes!

In 1999, I won this Cherished Teddies kit as a door prize. For those of us that completed our kit and brought the finished project to July Days 2000, a special award would be given. I was able to get Bob stitched in time.

I plan to eventually use this piece as part of a three-panel bell pull that I want to give my oldest sister. Eleanore collects bears, and her husband, Jerry, was in the Navy and the Coast Guard for many years. Thus, the sailor bear. The finished bellpull will be of three different sailor bears.
