Websites Selling Used Charts and Kits
The Old Stitch
This website is devoted to helping stitchers find discontinued or old cross-stitch designs. They not only sell new and used out-of-print designs, but they will buy your used leaflets, books, magazines, calendars or never opened kits that are in good condition. So the inventory here changes all the time. They even have a "Wish List" service where you let them know what chart you are searching for, and they will notify you when they have this item for sale.

Chart Swap Mailing Lists
These e-mail groups have members that post lists of their personal stashes that they are hoping to trade or sell.
StitchNSwap2
Swap only original charts and love to barter. No flames are tolerated, but good friendships are the goal. Because of some physical limitations of the list mom, the membership will be kept small.
Xstitch Swap
Where everyone is welcome to swap cross stitch items, including charts! Feel free to post your Trade lists and/or albums.
Stitcher's Circle
It is acceptable to trade for anything that is agreeable to both parties ... Fabric, floss and other cross stitch supplies. However when trading charts and patterns, only original materials are acceptable. NO COPIES of any kind will be tolerated. There will also be organized Exchanges and Round Robins, but our main goal is to make lasting friendship.
Cross Stitch Charts
This group is for the discussion and exchange of everything which is cross stitching related. If you have any unwanted (original) patterns or charts, you might be able to trade them for something else that you might want.
2muchXS
If you find you have been buying more and more cross stitch supplies and finishing less and less, this is the place for you! This list will be dedicated to completing all those works in progress and possibly trading some we know we are never going to get to with someone else who might.
Auctions
E-bay:
Do a search using "cross-stitch" and "XS" and "x-stitch" to find them all. (use the quotation marks for best results). eBay has a nice service called "Favorite Searches" where you tell eBay what you are looking for, and they send you an e-mail when an item with your description comes up for bid. I use this service often! You can add to your Favorite Searches anytime by starting with your "my eBay" page.
Cross Stitch Library Auction
The good thing about this site is that this action is all cross-stitch ... charts, leaflets, books, magazines, kits, and more. However, there is an annual fee for all users that is used for administration costs.
Bid-Alot
This auction site has categories under Cross-Stitch for Charts, Kits and Other.
Used Needlework Books
There are two websites/bookstores that I know of that are dedicated to finding hard-to-find needlework books. Both companies offer search services.
