This series of articles, essays, tips & techniques was collected by me over the years from a variety of sources including online chats, listservs, bulletin boards and e-mail, as well as print newsletters and magazines. I originally collected this information for my own use. But as I began sharing some of the information with stitchery groups, I came to realize that the information would be useful to a wider audience. So I present them here as Needlework 101, an introduction to a wide variety of stitchery subjects. In these documents, I've attempted to give credit to the original source of the tip or technique. Please note that I've not tried all the ideas and techniques myself, so cannot vouch for their accuracy. They are presented here in hopes that they will be of help -- but try them at your own risk. Of course, nothing here beats Kathy Dyer's FAQs for overall knowledge. I've divided the documents into the following subgroups:
